Jeremy Knutzen is a 2018 1B/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Moreno Valley, CA who attends Valley View. Large frame with broad shoulders and good build throughout; very strong overall. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.42 seconds. Sets up to hit from spread-out, even-based stance; big leg lift timing mechanism and high back elbow. Rotational in lower half through swing, shows good loose hands through swing with naturally lofted path. Has intent to drive the ball into the air with good bat speed; showed good ability to drive the ball, most power came to the pull side. Worked gap to gap with good plate coverage. Worked out defensively at 1st base; showed good footwork both on and off the bag, funnels cleanly out front, showed loose arm action on feeds across the diamond, clocked up to 78 mph on throws. Excellent student.
