Dawson Jones is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends St. John Neumann. Long and projectable, high-waisted frame. Ran a 7.46 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, works through the ball very well with athleticism to his actions; hands works well at angles and has good balance at receiving with quickness to how he gets rid of the ball and some arm strength from multiple slots. Also pitches, does a good job working around the zone; hides the ball well in the back and had success with a sinking fastball and a hard-biting slider as he challenged hitters throughout. Right-handed hitter, sets up narrow and open, works direct to the contact point with some quickness in his hands and some jump off the barrel when he squares it; found consistent barrels throughout the round and has a projectable combination of bat speed and barrel feel. Very good student.
