Caden Mitchell is a 2023 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Celina, TX who attends Celina. Strongly build compact frame. Recorded a 7.82 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with a higher setup, moves well to gain ground in throws, solid catch and throw skills with a quick arm and easy release, good carry to throws and popped down a 1.95 second best pop time. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works a simple operation filling the strike zone to all four quadrants, short and quick arm action through a high three-quarters slot, gets some downhill plane to the fastball, flashed a sharp curveball with good tilt to it in the upper-60s at its best. Left-handed hitter, stands tall and sets up narrow, hanging leg lift trigger, shifts well into contact, stays on a line drive barrel plane with good intent to the swing, good impact off the barrel when lifted to the pull side. Very good student. Named to 2020 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
