Jacob Moberly is a 2021 OF/1B, LHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Elizabethtown, KY who attends Elizabethtown. Lean frame with a medium build. Primary outfielder with smooth deliberate footwork getting to the ball. Employed clean glove actions while getting around the baseball well. Showed accurate carry to the bases. Also worked out defensively from first base. Displayed good footwork around the bag while funneling from a slightly deeper position. Showed a smooth, clean exchange while creating some on line carry across the infield. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance. Displayed a rotational approach with a downhill bat plane. Employed a line drive approach with beginnings of bat speed to the middle and opposite field. Left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Small leg lift delivery with drop and drive actions down the mound landing slightly closed. Clean arm circle with a low three quarters arm slot at release that created some crossfire. Fastball created some downhill plane and late life through the zone topping out at 74 miles per hour. Flashed a 2/8 curveball with good depth and spin. Primarily looked to attack hitter to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Good student.
