Chance Merithew is a 2019 C/SS with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Goodlettsville, TN who attends Greenbrier HS. Large frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with inverted front foot, knee tap load, hands remain very close to body throughout swing, shows good rhythm to swing. Line drive swing plane with middle-field approach, shows good ability to cover the plate, will drive the ball more with continued strength gains. Showed well behind the plate, good flex in set, legitimate game-level actions during drills, good athleticism through footwork, gains well out front and shows fluidity to actions overall. Quick exchange, shows varying accuracy down to 2nd base, actions overall are very quality. Popped a 2.00, was around there in game action as well. Very good student.
