David Melton is a 2021 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Brookwood. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch, long arm action in back that shows the ball to the hitter, tall and fall delivery, could use more lower half in his mechanics for increased velocity. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph early, gets some sinking action down in the zone, commands his fastball well and threw lots of strikes with it. Slurve type curveball had good tight spin and some bite to it, could have thrown this pitch more often.
