Tyler Adkins is a 2022 C/1B, OF, RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Germantown Hills, IL who attends Metamora. Medium frame with highly-projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.67 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with relaxed set and hands set high, hits off of front side consistently, line drive swing plane with whole-field approach, showed ability to keep hands inside the ball and work the opposite way. Primary catcher, higher set, stands to throw and doesn't gain much ground yet, shows compact arm stroke, clocked up to 65 mph. Also took 1B reps, shows footwork around the bag with developing hand actions, clocked up to 70 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, hides the ball well through the back, tilts spine to reach higher slot, lands on soft front side with closed toe, fastball worked 71-75 mph with some sink, also worked in curveball and changeup, threw a fair amount of strikes. Very good student.
