2018 Northeast Prospect Showcase
Reed Parson is a 2020 RHP/SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Leominster, MA who attends Nashoba Regional. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, longer arm action through the back, will gate hip a bit in rotation downhill, high three quarters slot release with good plane, fastball worked 82-84 mph with good life to the pitch, sharp breaking ball with 11/5 shape and tight depth, did a very good job throwing strikes and mixing pitches. Hits from even-based stance with upright set, hands draw back into bar, line drive plane, shows good balance and feel for the barrel, good contact skills. Worked out in the infield and showed very good footwork with some range to both sides, clocked up to 82 mph across. Named to 2018 Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, verbally committed to UMASS-Lowell. Very good student.
