Nicholas Dawkins is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Kell. Solid athletic build with plenty of strength in his lower half. Well paced delivery with a small arm circle in back leading to a high 3/4's release, gets out front well in his extension and stays on line, repeats his arm action and lower half mechanics well. Fastball worked in the mid-70's, topping out at 77 mph, has good arm side run and sinking action, showed the ability to spot his fastball to both sides of the plate. Curveball was his best pitch this outing, 11/5 shape with some power and good spin, has depth and was landed consistently for strikes. Has a feel for the strike zone and will make hitters swing while keeping them guessing. Excellent student.
