Mario Sauceda is a 2024 RHP/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-9 132 lb. frame from Pharr, TX who attends Psja North. Medium youthful build with present athleticism and plenty of room to grow and fill out as he develops. Primary pitcher, has a long and loose arm action from a three-quarters slot. Side steps in his windup into a belt high leg lift. Fastball up to 73 mph, arm strength should develop nicely alongside his build. Breaking ball has a slurvy shape, developing vertical bite. In the infield, fields out in front, transfers cleanly. Short arm action across the diamond. At the plate, uses a spread and slightly open stance with a simple leg kick trigger. Good bat speed for his build. Shifts in the box well, flat line drive barrel plane. Takes his hands directly to the baseball.
