Jack Swaney is a 2024 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Springfield, IL who attends Springfield. He has a big frame and is presently strong. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.17 seconds. He is a primary first baseman that showed good footwork for his age that will continue to become more fluid as he matures. He showed good feel for the glove and has a quick transfer. He has a long throwing motion, but is able to get rid of the ball quickly and on target. Offensively, he starts in an even stance that is slightly open. He has a toe tap trigger for timing and has a pull side approach. He has quick hands that generates good bat speed and will lead to a lot of power. His swing path has natural loft to it, and he is able to generate nice carry on balls when he is on time and makes contact out in front of the plate. Good student. Named to the Summer Midwest Workout Top Prospect List.
