Derek Einertson is a 2021 OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Norwalk, IA who attends Dowling Catholic. Medium athletic build with good length, some present strength and plenty of physical projection remaining. 6.91 runner in the sixty, shows his athleticism well in the outfield, has good footwork through the ball and a quick release on his throws, long and loose arm action. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, loads to his backside early and tends to stay there, swings hard and creates some bat speed with more to come when he shifts consistently into his front side, showed some gap to gap carry. Also pitched, simple turn and throw delivery with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, curveball was his best pitch this outing with some lateness and good 11/5 depth, also threw a change up. Good student.
