Michael Ruiz is a 2021 OF/2B, UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Delbarton. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with clean, sound footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Smooth glove actions at pickup and worked through exchange well. Maintained momentum to target while releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated some on line carry to the bag topping at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Fluid hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane. Stays behind contact well and displayed some feel for the barrel. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and opposite field gap. Very good student as well.
