Ashton Long is a 2021 1B/OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. He ran a 7.02 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a large frame showing some present strength. At first base he waits back fielding the ball with a wide base, he made accurate throws on his double play feeds with feel for the footwork. Right-handed hitter, times up his swing with a high leg lift while creating separation with a deep hand load, he showcased the ability to use all fields with some strength in the hands to his level bat path, will produce more consistent pop with more power coming from the lower half. Very good student.
