Jeffrey Cox is a 2018 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from St Peters, MO who attends Francis Howell North HS. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Ran a 7.43 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling out front and works exchange with fluidity. Long arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters slot with slight recoil at finish. Throws generated accurate carry across the infield topping at 81 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Lower half works to contact with linear lower half actions. Swung with intent on a loose, extended path. Created some back shoulder tilt at contact that produced an uphill plane through extension. Flashed beginnings of bat speed through the zone and primarily utilized a mid-field approach throughout batting practice and live pitching. Good student as well.
