Nicholas Kapusta is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends The Kinkaid. Medium frame with broad shoulders and strength in build. Ran a 7.69 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Short arm circle in the back into a high three-quarters release with extension. Throws to both halves of the plate well on fastball up to 72 miles per hour. Mixes in a bigger shape 2-to-8 curveball with tightness to spin. Also tosses a straight changeup in the mid-60's. Worked out defensively as a secondary outfielder. Clean actions out front with athletic movements to the ball. Developing arm strength to the infield topping out at 74 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a short path to contact. Pull side line drive contact with feel for the barrel. Repeats hitting mechanics well. Good student as well.
