2021 NorCal Workout Camp (Sunday)
Ryan Baptista is a 2021 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Petaluma, CA who attends Petaluma. Tall and projectable with an athletic build that is going to fill out nicely. Ran a 8.23 in the sixty yard dash. A primary first baseman, works low and keeps his feet under him, extending well with the glove with soft hands. Works the dirt well and accurate with his arm. Also worked out on the left side of the infield and funnels into the body and worked well to the glove side. A right-handed hitter, starts balanced and slightly open with his base using a leg lift trigger. Tips the barrel hard and turns the barrel hard. Looks to extend and pull. Lots of movement to create rhythm.
