Cade McClelland is a 2021 1B/LHP with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends Mission Viejo. Extra large frame with broad shoulders and strength throughout. Ran a 7.86 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a priamry first baseman. Has some idea with footwork when moving around the bag. Long arm action in the back. Comes off well and creates some carry at 79 MPH. Lefthanded hitter with an upright stance. Quick toe tap trigger for timing. Coils hands at load with an extended path to contact. Flashes bat speed through the zone. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a over the top delivery. Long arm action into an over the top slot. True 12-to-6 curveball with solid depth. Mostly straight fastball topping out at 73 MPH. Very good student as well.
