Carlos Rivera is a 2019 1B/LHP with a 6-1 240 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Pleasant Valley. Extra large frame with present strength in build. Ran an 8.16 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Fields out front with a bend at the waist. Works through exchanges well and gets on top of throws. Moves off the bag with clean footwork. Throws show occasional carry while staying accurate to the bag topping out at 79 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance to start. Works to a crouch through a leg lift trigger load. Line drive plane through the zone with a high finish. Works contact to all fields with raw strength in the box. Good student as well.
