Drew Winters is a 2019 1B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Jacksonville, IL who attends Routt Catholic. Large frame with athletic build and strength; ran 60 yard dash in 7.07 seconds. Hits from open-based stance with high back elbow and hand set, toe tap trigger, shifts well into contact and engages hips well, gets hands in good launch position, shows bat speed and strength combo, balance to swing, got the barrel out and showed good pop into gaps. Worked out defensively at 1st base, deep late funnel, comes in on the ball well and shows athleticism in footwork, attacks the ball and fields cleanly, clears hips and shows solid arm strength, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Good student.
