Joe Coopersmith is a 2019 C/UT with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from New City, NY who attends Clarkstown North Senior. Medium and mature build, present strength to frame. Ran a 4.98 second 40 yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle start, receives out in front with developing hands, really quick transfer from glove to hand then getting rid of ball quickly down to second base, over the top slot, upright release that could see more usage from the lower half for added velocity into throws, developing arm strength. 2.20 second best pop. Righthanded hitter, narrow and open stance, leg lift trigger gets closed well, high hand set and a high back elbow, inside hand path, best when letting ball travel and driving balls to pull side, looks to lift and has strength when squared. Great student.
