Hunter Scruggs is a 2020 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Papillion, NE who attends Papillion-La Vista HS. Large frame with a solid, strong build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.75 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth paced footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels the ball from a slightly deeper position with clean glove actions. Long three-quarters arm slot while throwing across the infield that created occasional carry to the bag topping at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, crouched stance a large sweeping front side trigger. Barrel is parallel with shoulders at load and launch on an uphill plane through extension. Flashed bat speed and strength at contact while primarily looking to turn the barrel to baseball and work to pull side with authority. Showed the intent to drive the baseball and produced hard, loud contact when on time and squared. Outstanding student. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition.
