Joseph Acosta is a 2021 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Valley HS. Nice young pitcher's build, very projectable physically, has some present strength with more to come. High 3/4's arm slot, long and loose arm action, repeats his mechanics very well for his age. Steady low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph. Three-pitch arsenal that he can use interchangeably and with maturity. Curveball is a quality pitch, throws it at any count with nice 11/5 shape and tight spin. Change up is released with very good arm speed and has good fading action. Athlete who fields his position well. 7.12 runner, showed his athleticism well in the infield, definitely has two-way potential. Right handed hitter, very good timing with a loose and direct swing, has present bat speed and makes solid line drive contact. Projects in all areas.
