Raphael (Ray Ray) Douglas is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Sioux City, IA who attends Sioux City West HS. Slender young live bodied build,, long limbs lots of room to get stronger. 6.82 runner, smooth and athletic actions in the outfield, deep arm circle in back, loose and fast arm with good carry to his throws, has the range to excel in centerfield. Right handed hitter, exaggerated open stance and never gets fully closed and directional, loose swing with good bat speed and some explosion to the ball, swings hard and has very good extension through contact, pull only approach and will be vulnerable to pitches on the outside half, flashes power with more there to come. Also pitched, long extended over the top arm action, big loose leg raise delivery, arm is fast and pretty well timed and gets downhill well. Fastball sat in the mid-80's, topped out at 87 mph, did not show an off speed pitch. Very good natural athlete with plenty of tools to develop. Good student.
