Jacob Elias is a 2020 C/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from El Dorado Hills, CA who attends Ponderosa. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving. Gains ground while working out of crouch with clean footwork. Gets the baseball out quickly with smooth exchanges. Generated good carry to the bag with developing accuracy topping at 71 miles per hour. Best workout pop of 2.08. Left handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Direct path to contact with a downhill barrel plane through extension. Flashed better leverage when connecting with baseball out front. Stayed balanced throughout and primarily worked to the middle of the field and opposite field gap. Flashed some jump off the barrel with carry when on time and squared. Good student. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
