Daniel Gernon is a 2018 OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Surrey, BC who attends Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 6.80 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, athletic footwork while rounding and closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while working through pick up and transition. Long arm circle back at separation and released from a three-quarters slot. Topped at 78 miles per hour generating accurate carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with a balanced, slightly open stance. Creates good shift into baseball with a linear lower half. Barrel comes through the zone on a loose, lifted plane. Looks to separate and lift the baseball while swinging with intent. Can turn the barrel to contact creating good bat speed and strength. Good student as well.
