Hunter Roquemore is a 2019 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 186 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Large frame with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while moving to and centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and looks to work to backhand often. Released from a three-quarters slot produced softer, accurate carry to the bag at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Inside hand path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Looked to throw bat head out front while turning the barrel to created hard contact to the pull side gap. Flashed good jump when squared that generated solid carry to the gaps. Also pitched utilizing a smooth paced rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works in line the plate. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated some downhill plane through the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a 10/5 curveball that had solid spin and some depth in the low 60's. Also flashed a split changeup that had some tumbling actions with fade in the upper 60's. Consistently changed speed and effectively kept hitters off balance when replicating arm slot. Excellent student as well.
