Mason Scroggie is a 2021 3B/RHP, 1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic. Large and stocky frame. Ran a 7.29 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman who took reps in the infield bending at the waist and fielding the baseball out in front, footwork could be quicker to the baseball with more aggression in attacking it, good arm strength topping out at 83 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, simple and clean mechanics getting good usage of his lower half down the mound, low effort delivery releasing the ball from an over the top arm slot, heavy fastball with good command to both sides of the plate up to 85 mph, low-70s curveball with developing spin, flashed a changeup that shows lots of potential. Also took reps in the outfield, fields the ball out in front coming through it well, full arm action with an online release, showed similar arm strength as in the infield. Righthanded hitter, shallow trigger with a very deep load, dips hands at load into a direct and uphill swing plane, some bat speed present and juice as well when gets the barrel to the ball.
