Konrad Bohnert is a 2021 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Carlsbad. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary shortstop who is a solid two-way talent at the next level, graded out higher as a pitcher at this event. Has a fluid and polished delivery on the mound, low effort mechanics and release, ball comes out of his hand very easily at release, short stride out front gets him downhill well, high 3/4's, very good lower/upper body sync. Steady upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90, plenty more velocity there with physical maturity, fastball gets hard running action at times. Tunnels his slider very well with his fastball, has late biting break and was an unhittable pitch this outing with its quality and location. Also mixed in a couple of curveballs for another look. High ceiling arm. 7.10 runner in the sixty, showed his arm strength well in the infield, big carry, has quick enough feet to work behind the ball and sound overall athletic actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with an aggressive swing approach, good present bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard and he can drive the gaps with carry.
