2018 Sunshine Northeast Showcase
Gestarl Fulgencio is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Williamsburg Prep. Medium frame with very slender build. Switch-hitter, hits from tall/upright stance from right side of the plate, rotational lower half, pull side approach, some loft to swing with quick hands, shows bat speed. Similar set up from left side, shows clean hands to launch, strides closed off, wants to get the ball into the air. Worked out defensively in the infield, relatively light on feet, some stiffness through actions, funnels okay out front, clocked up to 69 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
