Roberto Cruz is a 2016 OF/IF with a 6-3 192 lb. frame from Santo Domingo Oeste, DR who attends Cenapec. Tall and athletic broad shouldered build, has some present strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance, has quick hands and generates bat speed, swings hard, good extension through the ball, front foot is occasionally late but hands are quick enough to still get the barrel there, has good balance through his swing and handles the barrel well, mostly line drive pull side contact. 6.97 runner, can play both the outfield and infield with some skill, arm is compact and quick with some carry, clean footwork in the outfield coming through the ball, third base actions in the infield and can get off balance when moving too much but has good hands and can make the routine plays. Has improved since last year's World Showcase and has plenty of projection left.
