Jordan Vargas is a 2023 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Miami Springs Senior. Large frame with a lean build showing broad shoulders. Room to fill out physically, making him projectable. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, simple, repeatable actions as he lifts to the belt before driving off backside. Effort in the delivery as he released with intent on every pitch. Higher three-quarter slot release with a quick arm present. Fastball jumping out of hand as he topped out at 90 mph with hard arm side run. Looked to live down in the zone and missed at times but was around the zone. Mixed in a pair of secondaries. Breaking ball with slurvy actions showing sharp bite when nearing zone in the mid-70's. Rounded the arsenal off with a tumbling changeup in low-80's. Not as advanced as breaking ball but shows upside as a third pitch. Projectable on the bump and a prospect to keep an eye on as the arm works. Good Student.
