Carter Bach is a 2019 C with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Schenectacy, NY who attends Colonie Central High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 5.36 40-yard dash. Primary catcher, wide base in set behind plate, receives the ball out front, will continue to refine overall footwork, gets tall at release, compact arm action ,gets on top of throws consistently and shows very good accuracy down to second base. Righthanded hitter, Begins with a narrow stance and high hand set in the box. Utilizes a toe tap trigger and remains balanced through weight shift, hands stay close to body through swing. Line drive plane through the zone, gets the barrel through well, shows the ability to elevate balls to the pull side, projects physically too. Excellent student.
