Austin Coultas is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Wesley Chapel. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels of to side cleanly and worked through exchange efficiently. Maintains momentum towards the bag while releasing from a three-quarters slot. Throws generated on line carry to the bag topping at 86 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Stays balanced and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Looser hand path to baseball and flashed some barrel quickness through extension on a line drive plane. Displayed solid feel for the barrel and consistently worked the baseball to the middle of the field. Also pitched utilizing a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand clean generating occasional downhill tilt with run to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Slider displayed tighter spin with later sweep when maintaining arm speed through extension. Excellent student.
