Tyler Delmont is a 2019 1B/C with a 5-10 240 lb. frame from Marquette, MI who attends Marquette HS. Large frame with mature build. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.59 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based, narrow stance with high hand set. Hands cock back into load, smaller stride to trigger, incomplete shift in lower half, line drive swing plane with smoothness to barrel. Contact-oriented approach, shows extension through zone, flashes ability to get the ball in the air, did work to all fields at points. Worked out in two spots. Hands work well out front at 1st base, efficiency to actions, shows good pivot and overall footwork, threw 71 mph across the diamond. Also caught, side saddle set, moving forward into reception around the ball, stands and throws, arm strength clocked up to 70 mph. Good student.
