Nathan Blach is a 2018 1B/ with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Bellarmine College Prep. Medium frame with a solid build and present strength. Projects for additional strength with continue physical maturity. Ran a 7.55 sixty yard dash. Primary first baseman, fundamental footwork while centering the baseball. Fields the baseball out front with clean glove actions and developing fluidity. Turns hips well while pivoting to make throws to second base. Topped at 63 miles per hour across the infield with soft, accurate carry. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and compact hand set. Hands launch on a loose, extended path with a naturally lifted plane through extension. Stays on baseball well throughout the zone with the ability to hit to all fields at times. Flashed good bat speed with strength when working to the middle of the field and maintaining balance throughout. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and mechanical refinement. Very good student as well.
