Cooper Babcock is a 2021 C/RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Belton, TX who attends Belton HS. Tall angular build with long arms, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, closed stance with a high back elbow load, right centerfield orientation, can get long at times, patient hitter. 7.00 runner, has nice athletic actions behind the plate, long and loose arm action with a quick transfer and release, makes accurate throws due to good directional footwork, 1.94 best pop time. Also plays the outfield with good athleticism, aggressive to the ball with fluid actions and good arm strength. High leg raise delivery on the mound, gets off balance at times, has good arm speed and has some deception. Fastball topped out 82 mph, mostly straight. Curveball was his best pitch, has good 12/6 downer shape and is thrown consistently for strikes, has confidence in the pitch and throws it often. Good student.
