Nolan Friese is a 2022 3B/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Tualatin, OR who attends Tualatin. Medium build. Ran a 7.75 second sixty-yard dash. Flashes some athletic movements in the infield with long arm action and developing arm strength up to 72 miles per hour. Shows good ability to make accurate throws across the diamond. Upright and slightly open stance at the plate with a medium leg lift trigger and rotational lower half. Sits and spins on back side with a loose hand path. Has a middle of the field to opposite field approach with a slightly lifted barrel plane. On the mound, starts from a high leg kick before bringing arm back to an over the top slot. Shows some good feel for a knuckleball at 71 miles per hour, working off that pitch in most at-bats. Fastball is used as more of a show pitch at 70-to-74 miles per hour. Curveball is a true 11-to-4 breaker. Slow and methodical in his process on the mound. Excellent student.
