Jon Cathcart is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-0 130 lb. frame from Fort Collins, CO who attends Rocky Mountain HS. Recorded a 7.16 60-yard dash. Long limbs with a slender build and projects very well physically. Primary outfielder with developing arm strength and athletic actions. Throws were both online and accurate. Pounded the strike zone on the mound. Drives down the mound toward the plate and was effective at inducing swings to generate weak contact. Fastball had good sinking life to it and a softer curveball that was thrown for strikes. Pull side approach at the plate with an open stance and a low hand set. Naturally lofted swing with a short swing through the zone. Consistent contact with the barrel. Excellent student.
