Tai Lizdas is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Flowery Branch, GA who attends Flowery Branch HS. Tall and lean frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill. Ran a 7.09 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins windup with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes arm back to a long arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, drives some off of his back leg as he comes down the mound, lands slightly closed and throws slightly crossfire. Fastball flashed sinking action topping out at 82 mph, creates plane when down in the zone, mixed in a curveball with 12-to-6 shape and developing feel, worked primarily to the armside of the plate. Secondary outfielder, moves to the baseball with short deliberate steps, arm works well into release, some carry to throws flashing good arm strength when released out in front, topped out at 85 mph. Righthanded hitter, graded out best at the plate setting up with a deep hand set, begins swing with a leg kick trigger for timing and weight shift into contact, swings with intent and present jump off of the barrel when squared, some barrel feel currently with line drive up the middle contact mostly. Outstanding student.
