Stevie Diderrich Jr. is a 2018 C/3B, MIF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Sullivan, WI who attends Oconomowoc. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Primary catcher with a low, narrow stance while setting up to receive. Gains ground to the bag with fundamental footwork and works through transition with clean, quick exchanges. Released from a compact arm slot that generated solid carry with accuracy to the bag topping at 76 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.95. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Lower half works to contact with linear actions producing good shift into contact. Barrel works through the hitting zone on a linear plane with present bat speed. Swung with intent primarily showing a mid field approach with the jump off the barrel to split the gaps when squared. Consistently repeats swing mechanics and barrel plane while staying balanced throughout. Good student. Named to the 2017 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
