Mitchell Sardo is a 2018 RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Point Loma High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders, long limbs and a high waist, has room to fill throughout moving forward and projects physically. Primary righthanded pitcher, gets tall on back side with a hip turn at top of delivery; shorter arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Works over front side and able to generate extension out front, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into finish. Does a nice job of working on top of fastball, topped out at 83 mph and generates plane while showing subtle running life, worked at the knees well and able to induce ground ball contact. Nice fading life to changeup down in the zone and repeats release up to 73 mph. Flashed curveball with 12-6 shape and depth, can continue to incorporate more consistently into mix. Very good student.
