Hunter Payne is a 2020 OF/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Gig Harbor, WA who attends Peninsula HS. Slender medium frame, projects well physically. Left handed hitter, exaggerated open stance with a high back elbow to start his swing, shows quick hands and good bat speed when he gets online and in a hitting position in time, barrel will be late at times but hit the ball hard with carry when hitting it out front, has potential as a hitter. 7.38 runner, 4.60 home to first base. Can work through the ball better in the outfield, tends to stop at the ball, low 3/4's arm slot, has the athleticism to keep improving defensively with adjustments. Excellent student.
