2016 Mid Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Dimitri Garidas is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Holmdel, NJ who attends IMG Academy. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch, begins delivery with a short leg lift just below the belt before incorporating strong lower half into drive down the mound. Lands slightly open with strike foot, shows a full and fluid arm action through the back side, ball comes out of hand cleanly from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball sat in the low-80s and topped out at 83 mph, got on top of the ball well and was able to generate natural sinking life down in the zone. Also flashed a feel for a sharp slider with late break at 76 mph with tight rotation. Named to Mid Atlantic Top-Top Prospect List.
