Jimmy Luis Fred Mapakou Djembo is a 2017 OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Hoboken, NJ. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, plenty of twitch to build with physical strength and additional room to grow stronger. Strong runner, posted a 6.79 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, quick footwork and athletic actions moving towards the ball, employs a crow hop to gain momentum and works through the ball well with lower half, full arm action and regularly gets on top of ball showing whippiness to arm with solid arm strength and carry out of the hand. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Has timing triggers to swing but stays on time with them and uses a toe tap trigger. Full swing path through the zone and shows ability to create separation and extension out front. Generates some lift to swing with loose hands and quickness to the barrel, occasionally out front but shows ability to drive the ball to the pull side when on time.
