Dakotah Brigham is a 2017 2B/ with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Hiltonhead, SC who attends Hilton Head High School. Medium frame with highly athletic, slender build; very good projection remaining to continue filling out and adding strength to frame. Ran extremely well, clocking a 6.58 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from spread out, slightly open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Barrel tip into load with upper half focused swing, would unlock more ability to drive the baseball with more incorporation of lower half. Toe tap timing mechanism, gets hands to and through the zone in timely manner, line drive swing plane with pretty consistent contact up the middle with a whole-field approach to hitting. Worked out defensively in the infield, moves to the ball well with obvious athleticism and twitch, showing range to both sides. Fields cleanly out in front with two hands, surrounds the ball well and shows both efficiency and patience through actions. Works into crow hop quickly and transfers well, then makes accurate throws across the diamond with arm strength clocked up to 74 MPH. Very good student.
