Matyk Hilton is a 2019 2B/SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends George Washington HS. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength with continued maturity. Ran a 7.56 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with smooth, fundamental glove actions while funneling the baseball out front. Comes through the baseball well and created good on line direction to the bag. Released from a compact arm slot that produced some carry across the infield topping at 70 miles per hour. Flashed good first step quickness with developing range to each side as well. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and high back elbow set. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact with minimal shift. Hands launch on a simple, direct line drive path to contact with a mid-field approach. Tools will continue to developing with continued physical maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
