Cameron Hicks is a 2019 RHP/C with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Lees Summit, MO who attends Lees Summit North. Medium frame with strength in build. Ran a 7.47 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with an easy tempo short rocker step delivery into a waist high leg lift and small hip coil at gather. Short take back into a high three-quarters release. Creates extension out front while staying in line to the plate. Works the edges of the plate and can miss spots on occasion. Fastball up to 80 miles per hour with short angle to the plate in the bottom of the zone. Will also mix in a curveball with short depth. Also worked out as a secondary catcher. Sets up in a high slightly side straddle stance. Receives with soft hands out front into the transfer. Short action in the back with softer carry to the bag. Topping out at 72 miles per hour and popping a 2.09. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and high back elbow. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Stays on the ball well with a line drive path. Linear to contact impacting the ball out front. Very good student as well.
