Jacob Cekander is a 2019 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Cekander has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has smooth actions in the outfield with clean glove actions and transfers. Cekander shows some looseness to his arm and showed some arm strength up to 77 MPH with carry and accuracy. At the plate Cekander starts with a slightly open stance with a wide base. He has a high back elbow and good balance through his swing. Cekander has a compact stroke and flashes hand speed. He has good weight shift in his swing and flashed solid contact to all field. Cekander pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a slight wrap in back. He has a directional delivery and gets run on his fastball. Excellent student.
