Omar Sanchez is a 2020 LHP/ with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends BYOU Academy. Medium frame with some strength present to the build. Only pitched at the event, lefthanded pitcher only, starts his delivery with a short turn step, double taps his plant foot to get body balanced before coming into leg kick just above belt, coils on his back leg before firing to the plate, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, whips arm through the back. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with varying life, heater shows cutting action at times and armside life at times, mixes in a curveball with tight spin and 12-to-6 shape, worked the breaking ball consistently to the lower half of the zone. Verbal commitment to Florida Southwestern State College. Named to 2019 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
